The beneficial microbes present in mushroom compost encourage the growth of beneficial insects like earthworm and discourages diseases. Hence, the gardeners are avoiding the use of potentially dangerous chemical pesticides and contribute to the welfare of the family and the earth, in effect.

Mushroom compost increases the water holding capacity of the plant and at the same time, aerates the soil. This is vital for the soil and improves the structure of the soil and saves the cost of water, where there is scarcity of water.
